  • Parchment paper or silicone mat
  • Large skillet (if pan-frying)
  • Air fryer (if using air-frying method)
  • Small saucepan (for the glaze)
  • Whisk
  • Tongs
  • Wooden spoon or spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 450g ground meat (beef, chicken, turkey, or pork)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs panko or regular
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup onion grated or finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water for thickening

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Meatball Mixture
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking. If pan-frying, heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix together ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, garlic, onion, salt, and black pepper until just combined.
  • Shape into 1-inch meatballs, rolling them evenly for consistent cooking.
  • Step 2: Cook the Meatballs
  • Choose one of these cooking methods:
  • Baking: Place meatballs on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  • Pan-Frying: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and cook meatballs for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until browned on all sides.
  • Air-Frying: Preheat air fryer to 375°F and cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • Step 3: Make the Honey Sriracha Glaze
  • In a pan over medium heat, combine honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced garlic. Stir well.
  • In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Add to the pan and stir until the sauce thickens.
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the glaze is sticky and glossy.
  • Step 4: Coat the Meatballs
  • Once the meatballs are cooked, transfer them into the pan with the glaze.
  • Gently toss to coat each meatball evenly.
  • Let them simmer for 2 more minutes, then serve hot!

Notes

For extra heat, add a dash of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
For a milder version, reduce the Sriracha to 2 tablespoons.
Serving Suggestions: Pair with steamed rice, garlic butter noodles, roasted broccoli, or a fresh cucumber salad for a balanced meal.
Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
